Iowa freshman James Carter won the men's long jump with a wind-aided 24-1 (7.34m) in the third round at the 110th Drake Relays at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa. Carter managed only one fair jump among his first three rounds, then passed his final three attempts, but still managed to secure the first victory for the Hawkeyes in the men's long jump at Drake Relays since 1996.
