Kori Carter, representing Brand Jordan, won the Tokyo Countdown elite invitational women's 400-meter hurdles in 56.07 seconds at the 110th Drake Relays at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa. Carter, the reigning IAAF World Outdoor gold medalist, hadn't competed in the 400 hurdles since running 53.07 seconds Aug. 10, 2017 in the world final in London.
