Olympic medalists kick-off Drake Relays action in style

With a crowd wrapped around the runway and a circle of onlookers hovering at bar level a the second level of the Capital Square mall in downtown Des Moines, Olympic medalists Sandi Morris and Sam Kendricks put on a show for Drake Relays fans, winning big Wednesday evening at the Capital Square Vault event - the annual kick-off to Drake Relays track and field action. 

While Morris and Kendricks will compete later in the week outside as part of the event, their showcase indoors was a sight to behold. Morris won the women's competition with a 4.72m (15-5.75) effort, while Kendricks swept through the competition to take the men's title with a winning vault of 5.70 (18-8.25).
